Idea for Christmas Crafts to Make for Kids

If you want your children to be involved, here's a fairly easy Christmas crafts project for them to get started on: creating a snow globe.

You'll need a baby food jar (or other small jar with a lid), a small plastic toy or figurine, silver or white glitter (or small beads), mineral oil, and craft glue.

You can paint the jar lid, or cover it with material, if desired. Then glue the figurine to the lid, and wait for the glue to dry. Put the glitter in the bottom of the jar, and add mineral oil almost to the top (leave a bit of airspace).

Run a bead of glue around the inside of the lid, and screw it on -- this will seal it.

Let it sit until it is dry, then flip it over, shake it, and watch your snow blizzard!

Idea for Christmas Crafts to Make for Adults

One of the easiest 'adult' Christmas crafts to make I know of (although kids might like to try it, too!) can be an inexpensive way to remember co-workers or members of groups you belong to, or they can be used as stocking stuffers: fridge magnets.

Magnet material can be purchased at any craft store, and by gluing a photo to the front of the magnet, it becomes an instant gift.

The photo can be one of you, a beloved family pet, the cottage in the country, favorite wildlife, a beautiful nature scene, or... what have you.

Make several, and give them away to everyone!
